Chief Accountant f/m
Place of employment: Skopje, Macedonia
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, responsible for performing routine assignments related to the accounts payable functions of the organization within established deadlines. May perform or assist in weekly check runs to ensure check amount and remit to information is correct. Responsible for validating payments to top direct material suppliers in accordance with company payment policy. May be assigned to special financial projects to ensure pricing is enforced.
REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance preferred. High degree of technical competency, judgment and discretion required. Oracle experience a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Certificate for official accountant.
- Assist in weekly check processing to ensure amount paid, invoice number and remit to information is correct.
- Confirm petty cash balance daily.
- Code weekly freight invoices in accordance with company policy.
- Input new supplier information into database in accordance with departmental policy.
- Provides assistance to Accounts Payable Manager.
- Interacts with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve payable problems in a timely manner.
- Performs all A/P functions in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
- Posts monthly rental payments in accordance with lease agreements.
- Performs various analyses and reconciliations as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as assigned.
- Provides back-up for other functions as requested.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
