Network Engineer

As an experienced Network Engineer you support the team with your helpfulness, flexibility and analytical thinking. You will understand the needs and expectations of the company and the network users and use them to develop proposals for solutions and decisions.

Tasks:

• Defining and creating network architectures and concepts
• You develop guidelines for the evaluation and installation of communication infrastructure, as well as specifications and requirement catalogs.
• You evaluate the appropriate network components and plan, design and install networks.
• You observe the technical development of networks and examine new technologies for use in our own networks.
• You create the network documentation (topology, access rights, firewall rules, etc.) and network test concepts. Design, create, run, monitor, and evaluate the appropriate tests.
• You assess security threats and the effectiveness of the security precautions taken; if necessary, you initialize appropriate measures to improve security.

You
...have already worked successfully as a Network Engineer for several years and have experience in project work in this area. You have in-depth and proven knowledge in routing, OSPF and BGP and security (WAF, firewall, cryptography, etc.). You also bring basic knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting (CentOS and/or OpenBSD) to the table. Knowledge of the OpenBSD network stack is an advantage. Good English spoken and written are required.
