OVERLAND IMPORT / EXPORT OPERATOR
- Coordinate day to day overland operations and customer services to/from Macedonia with profit responsibility at shipment level. Deliver excellence in all operations: Ensure safe and time-definite delivery of customer shipments to/from Macedonia, with special attention on shipment statuses, and providing info regarding the shipment statuses to the customers; provide appropriate, correct and timely customs treatment of customer shipments at export and import. Maintain detailed, time-sensitive record of documents and procedures required to ensure full compliance with and protection of Customs liabilities surrounding customer shipments.
- Prepare and issue freight quotations and schedules with follow up as required.
- Management of all supplier invoices and customer billing to ensure timely and profitable closure of customer files within required time frames. Sharp focus on supplier costs, customer revenues and margin performance at shipment level.
- Build positive relationships with new and prospective customers, suppliers and agents as well as other departments of Kuehne + Nagel. Proactive communication to all stakeholders associated with client shipments with particular focus on document accuracy and speed.
- Ensures that all operations and logistics functions are performed in a timely, cost-effective manner consistent with established corporate and client operations, procedures, and requirements.

- Coordinate and monitor the work within the overland operations team
- Maintain and implement plans to establish productivity, safety standards, quality, cost control, and employee morale

- Ensure a safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures.
- (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):
- 2 years’ experience of freight operations across multiple sectors and lanes
- Intermediary knowledge of logistics & transport principles
- Detailed understanding of Customs rules, regulations and procedures
- Numerate and literate. Knowledge of world geography
- English language proficiency is a must. Additional languages considered as advantage.
