OVERLAND OPERATOR

Our Overland Operators are a key point of contact for our customers. They coordinate our customer's shipments with the highest level of customer care whilst ensuring accuracy in their work.


YOUR ROLE
In this role you will offer and coordinate freight forwarding solutions in a timely and efficient manner to the customer, ensuring the accuracy and quality of your work. The ability to working on your own initiative is key as well as being a team player. You will develop excellent relationships with customers, providing the highest level of customer care in an environment of continuous improvement.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for overall customer service and support to ensure excellent customer relations.
• Preparing necessary documentation for processing of shipments (trucking orders, Bill of Lading, Manifest, Insurance Policy, etc.)
• Track and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery.
• Responsible for cost controls for each shipment and rating.
• Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
• Manage and support other projects as assigned
• YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
• Diploma/Degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years industry experience in Freight Forwarding and or Transportation, including experience with Road Transportation specifically
• 2+ years’ operations, with administration experience and customer service
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, basic knowledge of German
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based and job specific software applications
• Good knowledge of regulations and conventions in international overland transportation, knowledge of local transport regulations and customs formalities is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate (verbally and intuitively) effectively with both customers and internal personnel
• High level of motivation and discipline
