POSITION SUMMARY:
REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all reception and switchboard phones when primary receiver does not answer – answers call when able, directs call or takes messages as necessary.
- Handles/types departmental correspondence – letters to include response to applications/resumes received as well as memos and other internal correspondence, job descriptions etc.
- Maintains applicant flow log for administration purposes, and application files for employment.
- Coordinates travel arrangements for applicants, coordinates physical exams with medical department and makes inquiries to check work history and reference data on prospective employees.
- Serves as back up for Human Resources Manager.
- Maintains proper paper work flow for new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions and normal compensation issues.
- Performs data entry into the human resource information system.
- Provides low level benefit support, including, but not limited to, answering basic benefit questions and providing materials to employees.
- Maintains private personnel data/personnel files as required.
- Assists in the orientation of new employees and assists with special presentations.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
