Raw Materials and HSE Specialist

Job Purpose

To be plant's expert on raw materials and to implement and coordinate all the Health & Safety and environmental (HSE) activities of Wienerberger on local level in line with the group-wide strategy and in compliance with the local legislative requirements

Key responsibilities

• Organizes and controls the work and leads the team in clay preparation, gives instructions for the ratio and mixing of the raw material.
• Responsible for timely provision of tested quality raw material and sufficient stock availability.
• Keeps records of the delivered quantities as well as control over the mining and transport.
• Closely cooperates with the institutions for development of technical elaborations, geological studies.
• Responsible for the full procedure for obtaining a new concession and verifying the status.
• Complete vendor assessment on suppliers of raw materials.
• Provide data & present reports to the management team on all clay research & clay quality related matters.
• Responsible for resolving legal HSE requirements and discovery of nonconformities.
• Active participation and implementation of Wienerberger HSE standard and related guidelines.
• Represents the company in audits and inspections by supervisory bodies. Liaises with the respective competent persons and authorities related to HSE regulations and standards.
• Support to plant management in HSE topics.
• Ensures health and safety communication and awareness within the organization on local level.
• Continuous improvement of plant H&S awareness, qualification and H&S performance.
• Ensures all accidents, injuries or near misses are being reported according to local and group-wide standards.
