STORE MANAGER
 
 

POSITION SUMMARY:

As Store Manager, you're responsible for meeting the sales and profitability targets. You work strategically and seek continuous improvement in how to streamline operations to provide a fantastic customer experience in your store.

You ensure that your team is well-trained and customer-oriented, and you work actively with succession planning and talent development. You work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues. You act in line with our Values and Leadership Expectations. You contribute to our business success by being results driven, business minded and a team player, a role model for H&M.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and follow up Sales & Profit KPIs for your department and together with the Visual Merchandisers you take action to maximize sales 
  • Together with your Store Management team, you ensure scheduling for your department maximizes conversion and is within the frame of the hours plan and sales budget
  • Ensure high quality, commercial garment presentation together with Visual Team
  • Ensure Store Operations & Best Practices are followed in your department and throughout the store
  • Inform your Store Manager of any potential risks, threats and opportunities related to the competitor landscape
  • Ensure that your department team is providing an excellent customer service and maximizing sales opportunities in all areas of the store through effective coaching
  • Manage stock levels and take key decisions about stock control
  • Manage the recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for your team, supporting the business needs
  • Evaluate and manage the performance of your team, execute dialogues, development plans, follow-up and take any appropriate action to improve performance and develop your team 
  • Ensure clear communication with your team on business performance, company culture and store and department goals 
  • Ensure that Health & Safety, legal and security issues are being handled in accordance with H&M standards and local laws, ensuring employee and customer safety always 
  • Strengthen our company culture by promoting feedback in our daily work and coach your team to do the same

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication skills with ability to inspire and motivate team members to offer a great customer experience
  • Team player enjoy teamwork and cross collaboration with the other members of the management team
  • Open-minded, flexible, and adaptable to changes
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Delegate follows up and provide feedback to support the development of the team.
  • Similar professional experience would be an asset
  • Good knowledge of English language
  • Motivation to develop further in the company
