Quantectum is an operational center, that is dedicated to advancing global earthquake forecasting and the progressive pioneer in the whole field of earthquake-related research, analysis, forecast, and protection.
We are both a research center and an operational center. Quantectum was founded in 2018 after the discovery and publication of the Omega-Theory, which redefined and solved the earthquake forecasting problem.
Quantectum adopts the same standards as meteorology to produce global earthquake forecasts and other data, available to our partners, commercial customers, and the broader community. Those standards are ensemble approach, throughout statistical testing of all available mathematical/physical models of earthquake triggering, complete automatization of the modeling processes, which are developed up to the operational level.
Quantectum has developed widely useful tools, enabled by the high processing capabilities of computers and innovative data mining approaches, that enable a better understanding of earthquakes.
FULL STACK DEVELOPER (JAVASCRIPT / REACT / NODE.JS) (M/F)
Responsibilities
- Developing front-end features using React and MapBox GL
- Developing back-end features using Node.js, MongoDB and Kafka
- Working with the team to define and implement features as quality and performant code
- Building reusable components and utilities
- Building and deploying to cloud services
- Maintenance of existing codebase
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript / Typescript
- Understanding of React and its core principles
- Experience with developing GIS applications, preferably in MapBox or Leaflet
- Creating and consuming RESTful APIs
- Modern authorization mechanisms, e.g. JWT
- Familiarity with Kafka and Docker
- Knowledge of modern build tools and pipelines
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Bonus skills: Python, Chart.js or similar
