Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (f/w/d)

Job Description
- Provide support for systems suppliers and after-sales orders, including the required team and documentation work and technical project management.
- Project planning and concept development of systems based on customer requirements (including calculation)
- Defining the project work packages and responsible for achieving deadlines and budgets in the design project team
- Construction of systems based on specifications, including implementation of construction approvals
- Detailed design of systems (e.g. production-ready detailing, schedule)
- Independent interface clarification and supplier support
- Risk assessment (FMEA and Machinery Directive)
- Preparation of relevant machine documentation
- Cooperation with the project team
- Defining and pursuing the team goals in coordination with the project team
- Participation and contribution with ideas to improve the systems and processes in the organizational area and on request (e.g. in the plants)
- Preparation of the team and documentation work
Qualifications
- Knowledge, as typically acquired during at least three years of technical University Studies (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar). The position requires at least seven years of experience in a similar area.
- This function requires special knowledge in the field of construction of special machines, which was acquired as a designer responsible for the project.
- Expert knowledge in project planning, construction and detailed design, including change management
- Very good knowledge of conducting risk assessments (e.g. Machinery Directive)
- Expert knowledge for creating production-ready detailing (e.g. creating drawings and assembly drawings)
- Very good knowledge of creating relevant documentation (e.g. concept drawings, parts lists, assembly descriptions, maintenance plans, internal company standards for the construction of special machines)
- Very good user knowledge of CAD systems (e.g. Solid Works...)
- Good knowledge in the field of pneumatics
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
- Stable, solid personality with strong leadership skills able to quickly establish credibility internally and externally
- Strong communication skills both internally and externally utilizing networking and exchanging best practices
- Possesses intercultural sensitivity and understanding, with the ability to work collaboratively an international business environment
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities, produce excellent work results and follow through on commitments.
