Magna Mirrors South-East Europe, a division of Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting - leading supplier of innovative closure systems, modules and exterior and interior mirror systems, is opening the following position for the new Magna Mirrors factory located in Ohrid/Struga region:
MAINTENANCE ENGINEER TOOLS - IM
Key Responsibilities
- Using 2D and 3D software’s to analyze existing tooling designs and improve on them;
- Developing blueprints for new tooling designs as per client or project specifications;
- Sharing designs with colleagues and implementing any relevant feedback developing, testing and carrying out quality assurance tests;
- Collaborate with the product and process teams to review and provide feedback on part designs relating to mold-ability, quality, and cost;
- Continuous improvement of company tooling standards, tools and equipment;
- Follow and Update PM requirements on tools;
- Follow and update spare parts lists;
- Assist mold maintenance in the repair of tools;
- Negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure the best deals;
- Scheduling meetings with management and other relevant personnel as required;
- Work with tooling suppliers to trial and approve new tools for shipment;
- Traveling to manufacturing plants and factories to gather information and liaise with manufacturing and design teams;
- Coordinate the repair of tooling at outside vendors.
Key Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant discipline, a master’s degree is preferable;
- 5+ Years relevant work experience in tooling;
- Proficient in CATIA V5 and Solid Works;
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings;
- Working knowledge of QS9000, ISO14001 and IATF16949 standards, as applicable to the position;
- Proven ability to work in a fast-pace organization handling multiple assignments simultaneously;
- Analytical, well organized, reliable, and a good work attitude;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Leadership skills;
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook).
