Continuous Improvement Engineer

Tasks:
Develop and implement continuous improvement (Lean manufacturing) principles to enhance work processes and output which leads to significant cost savings, improved efficiency, improved quality for the organization
Utilize 80/20 methods, Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma tools drive focus on critical processes that will yield the highest impact to the organization
Build a continuous improvement culture and drive change throughout the organization through train all employees in the basics of lean manufacturing and train production teams in lean manufacturing initiatives such as Analyze data and make recommendations based on results
Continuous analyze of the current processes and systems and think outside the box to come up with pragmatic ways and result oriented solution to improve efficiency
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in Best Practice Microsoft Platforms and / or Workshops
Preparation and presentation of progress reports, documents, status information and duties which may be assigned as part of the essential functions of the position
Trend scouting for new technology platforms and evaluating the benefits for process control, data analysis and digitalization
Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience with 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in an automotive manufacturing industry
Excellent English, German speaking is an advantage
Problem solving, Value Stream Mapping, Takt Time Analysis, Visual Management, Standard Work, SMED and Kaizen
Proactive, critical thinking individual with proven experience of delivering business change and process improvements for a global organization
Very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as a high degree of initiative and commitment, always keen to tackle constantly changing challenges and to work as part of a team
Driven, motivated, positive, high energy with outstanding influencing skills
Knowledge of the software development and engineering processes, including Project Management is a plus
