Lab-Calibration-SQE Supervisor f/m

POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates and directs activities in the manufacturing Test Labs, including Calibration, Receiving Inspection, Product Testing, and Regulatory Compliance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in technical field, with a minimum of four (4) years experience in automotive parts manufacturing. Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 is desired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and coordinate efforts to achieve and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory and DOT/ADR certification.
- Serves as ISO/IEC 17025 and regulatory contact.
- Directs Test Lab activities and personnel in each facility and assures specification compliance and accuracy of testing for all calibrations, lot acceptance testing, measurement analysis, regulatory testing, and receiving inspection.
- Provide support for the manufacturing and design groups as needed.
- Assures TS 16949 compliance in areas of responsibility.
- Establishes procedures and manuals that ensure products and processes conform to regulatory standards.
- Conducts internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates and conducts internal testing for new products/designs as required for DOT/TUV approvals.
- Ensures changes and updates to regulatory standards are communicated throughout the organization and coordinates activities required to effectively implement these changes.
- Provides training for management and employees in testing procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining all lab equipment in working order and lab conditions to ensure timely test completion and appropriate housekeeping (5S).
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
