Logistic Manager

For the upcoming new facility in North Macedonia, our client is looking for the following position:

LOGISTIC MANAGER

Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements a strategic operating model adding value to the business and consumers.
• Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the logistic.
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics and warehousing operations of the business, ensuring the functions are running efficiently.
• Manages all aspects of the logistic to ensure all materials are delivered on time to support the production schedule.
• Ensures the integrity of inventory accuracy. Identifies and resolves any inventory discrepancies and ensures inventory and system records agree.
• Manages stock movements with the help of direct reports. Keeps track of slow moving and obsolete stock.
• Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
• Manages leveled production planning process, ensuring overall customer releases are analyzed to prepare production schedule for the shop floor execution.
• Manages the shipping schedules to ensure customer orders are efficiently shipped, on time and complete.
• Manages all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
• Controls the export documentation.
• Negotiates the delivery with suppliers, vendors, and shipping companies.
• Monitors the performance of suppliers, including, but not limited to: supplier delivery performance, supplier relations, timely resolution of problems.
• Prepares the department’s annual budget and manages all logistic activities to meet the budget expectations.
• Develops and implements initiatives to reduce logistic costs, improve inventory turns and increase customer service levels to support sales using lean principals.
• Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials while ensuring the quality of storage materials.
• Manages, mentors, and supports the team to achieve business goals and ensures a continuous improvement culture within the department.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of experience in logistics (automotive preferred)
• 3+ years of leadership experience
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, ERP Systems)
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Good mathematical and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work to meet deadlines and multiple demands
• Ability to uphold confidentiality
• Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment
