Finit Consulting d.o.o. was founded in 2014 and is now one of the largest consulting companies in BiH focused on the areas of IT development, system analysis and programming, public finance, economic policy management, tax and fiscal policy. In 2023, Finit Consulting secured a contract with CEFTA to provide comprehensive support for the CEFTA Transparency Pack and Statistical Portal. This includes ensuring proper functionality, conducting preventive and adaptive maintenance, and driving continuous improvements.
Background
The CEFTA Trade Portal is designed to facilitate and promote trade within CEFTA by offering comprehensive, accessible, and up-to-date information on trade in goods and services. The current Trade Portal aims to provide a wide range of information on customs and trade procedures within the Parties in one place. The Portal groups the information into 7 categories (Customs, Licensing, Sanitary, Phytosanitary & Veterinary Regulation, Technical Requirements, BCP/CCP Police Control, Trade Regime, Public Procurement) which is further divided into 25 subcategories. To enhance trade transparency, promote regional trade, support businesses, and facilitate market access, the Trade Portal will undergo enhancements, incorporating new features.
Trade Expert
Our company is seeking a consultant to contribute to the development and enhancement of the CEFTA Trade Portal (https://transparency.cefta.int/TradePortal?id=1).
Role Overview
- The Trade Expert will be required to provide input in developing a Trade Portal Guidelines document that will define the CEFTA Trade Portal’s content structure, in line with the CEFTA Trade Portal’s main goal of providing relevant information that can facilitate the trade of goods and services within CEFTA, but also between the CEFTA Parties and the European Union.
Responsibilities
- The Trade Expert will be required to produce a concise and comprehensible proposal with a detailed overview of the categories, their content and classification on the necessity of checking and updating (e.g. quarterly, yearly, once in two years, etc.) and on the roles of the CEFTA Parties and the CEFTA Secretariat on populating information provided in the Trade Portal.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Trade, Economics, or a related field
- Proven experience in trade policy, export-import operations, or trade compliance
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with trade agreements (CEFTA, EU, etc.)
- Proficiency in English
