Position Overview:
As a Supervisor of Metal Fabrication, you will lead a team that embodies our core values and drives our mission to be industry leaders. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our culture of continuous improvement and unwavering quality. We are seeking an experienced Supervisor of Metal Fabrication to oversee our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metalworking, a keen understanding of production processes, and a proven track record in team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, setting up and managing metal production
- Optimize and design workplaces by using lean methods and implement shop floor management
- Analyze work orders and work instructions to determine material requirements and work sequence
- Create, monitor and implement relevant work instructions
- Optimize production processes and continuous improvement of production efficiency
- Planning of personnel deployment as well as monitoring and evaluation of work performance
- Reports and analyzes deviations in the effectiveness of key performance indicators (KPI) / development of countermeasures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, procedure and production standards
- Close cooperation with industrial engineering, production planning and the international welding engineer
- Management and development of employees in the area of responsibility
- Continuous analysis, improvement, and documentation of the employees’ skill level
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of metalworking machinery and production processes.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Skills:
- Proficiency in reading technical documentation and artistic renderings.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Lean Management and continuous improvement methodologies.
