- Legal Strategy Development: Assessment and management of legal risks associated with business activities and operations.
- Compliance Management: In cooperation with the company’s compliance team, facilitate compliance of the company's operations with the requirements of local regulatory acts. Monitor changes in the legal landscape and proactively communicate relevant legislative initiatives with the company’s management and the group.
- Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiation, drafting, and review for various agreements, including vendor contracts, employment contracts, and more. Ensure that contracts protect FINMAK’s interests and adhere to legal standards.
- Corporate Governance: Manage corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder relations, and statutory compliance. Ensure that company’s corporate structure complies with local laws and regulations.
- Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Manage or oversee litigation matters, if any, working closely with external legal counsel. Develop strategies for dispute resolution and risk mitigation.
- Intellectual Property Protection: Safeguard Company's intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Manage trademark registrations and IP-related agreements.
- Data Privacy and Security: Ensure compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR), including managing data privacy policies, data breach response plans, and employee training on data protection best practices.
- Regulatory Affairs: In cooperation with the company’s compliance team liaise with regulatory authorities and industry-specific bodies as required. Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements that impact company's operations.
- Employment Law: Provide legal guidance on employment matters, including labor law compliance, employment contracts, terminations, and employee relations issues.
- Legal Team Management: Lead and manage a legal team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments within the company and Eleving Consumer Finance, including finance, HR, and operations, to provide legal support and guidance as needed.
- External Relationships: Manage relationships with external legal counsel, auditors, and other relevant service providers, ensuring efficient and cost-effective services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in law.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of North Macedonian corporate and commercial law, as well as non-bank lending legal frameworks.
- Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice in a corporate environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
