Junior QA Test Engineer
The successful candidate must have:
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year University – Software / Electrical Engineering / Computer Sciences
- Experience and exposure to testing software products and testing automation is a definite asset
- Some knowledge of SCADA industry and automation is an asset
- Must be able to speak, write and communicate in English
- Must have good technical writing skills in English
- Strong ability to multi-task, demonstrate persistence, and work under tight deadlines
- Work well with team members globally
- The ability to absorb new concepts and technologies quickly
- Strong desire and ability to be a self-starter that delivers results on a timely basis
- The desire and commitment to deliver high quality work
- Strong communication, listening, time management, and organizational skills
- Work well in a team environment.
The position will also be required to:
- Perform product testing for Survalent software products
- Interacting with Survalent’s software development team based in Canada
- Defining and executing manual test procedures including data validation and regression analysis
- Analyze requirements and design test scenarios
- Manage test environment, test preparation and execution
- Report defects and follow up on resolutions including assessing the severity of defects and prioritize accordingly.
- Coordinate fixes required for each release with the development leads
- Track tasks in/out on an ongoing basis, and sync daily
- Maintain all test results to assist in debugging and modification of software
- Provide assistance to the QA Manager in quality assurance investigation analysis
- Support the collection of results and preparation of QA statistics and corrective measures for reporting.
- Prepare, archive, and distribute quality testing data results
- Work with the QA team on establishing the basis for test automation
- Work cooperatively and effectively with other Survalent staff in order to resolve quality issues
- Other tasks as required
