We are currently recruiting a:

 

Freelance Financial Controller 

 

Role and Responsibilities​: 

Working together with the Finance Manager and the Project Manager, responsible for logistical arrangements, the Financial Controller will assist in the administrative and financial follow-up as well as overall reporting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Internal invoice check and match with the budget
  • Approval of invoices, analytical allocation to the bookkeeping team
  • Follow up with suppliers on outstanding documents and invoices
  • Preparation of payment orders
  • Preparation of Expenditure reports
  • General administrative tasks and assistance to the project team on various matters
  • Quality assurance of procedures
  • Contribution to audit processes

Requirements: 
The ideal candidate has:

  • University degree;
  • 2-3 years of experience in the area of financial and administrative support. Knowledge of EU-funded projects will be an asset;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills;
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize;
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines
  • High level of attention to details
  • IT skills required: Microsoft office, Teams
  • Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written, any other language(s) would be an asset;
  • Understanding of basis financial processes (such as price comparison, budget calculation, cross check of invoices, etc)
  • A willingness to adopt a flexible working schedule;
  • The ability to work individually and as part of a team;
  • Availability to work on a full time basis if requested;
  • Enthusiasm, motivation, eagerness to learn and positive mindset
Additional Information:

Our main office is in Brussels, but this position will primarily involve working from home during first months and potentially from an office in Skopje on a later stage. In-person attendance for team meetings in Brussels will be required only occasionally.

The number of working days per month will vary based on the workload provided by clients. We are aiming at the full time engagement. At the same time, there are lighter workloads during the annual holiday periods.
