Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant to join our dynamic accounting & finance team. As a crucial part of our financial operations, the accountant will manage a range of accounting functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial transactions. The accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the company’s financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, including GAAP/IFRS, tax laws, and corporate policies.
- Audit Support: Facilitate and coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Tax Management: Oversee tax filings, including the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, VAT, and other regulatory reporting.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Cost Control & Analysis: Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Financial Systems: Maintain and improve financial systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment on financial goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in the industrial or construction sectors.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Albanian is required, both written and spoken.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel skills.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting standards.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
