Role Overview:
- The Groups Travel Operation Executive will manage all aspects of group tour operations, including transportation, accommodations, and on-the-ground logistics. This individual will work closely with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure flawless execution of group travel itineraries while continually enhancing efficiency and client satisfaction
Key Responsibilities:
• Tour Coordination & Management:
- Create and manage rooming lists, accommodations, transportation, and other logistics for group tours.
- Oversee all elements of the group tour experience, including meals, guides, site entrances, ferries, trains, and coach allocations.
- Monitor tour inventory and ensure counter-party contracts are fulfilled.
• Booking & Scheduling:
- Track and manage assigned group space, special requirements, and changes.
- Maintain up-to-date records and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Client & Tour Director Support:
- Interact directly with tour directors, providing guidance and exceptional customer service.
- Act as the main point of contact during group departures for resolving on-the-go issues.
• Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Conduct inspections of hotels, coaches, and other services to ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaboration & Growth:
- Work with travel trade partners, including coach companies, tour operators, and online travel agencies, to strengthen relationships.
- Support the company’s expanding UK partnerships with proactive service alignment.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
• Industry Expertise:
- Strong understanding of the inbound tourism industry and travel trade.
- Proven track record in managing tours across the Balkans and Central Europe, coordinating transport, guides, and accommodations.
• Professional Experience:
- Significant experience as a senior sales executive or manager, working with travel trade partners in the groups market, coach companies, tour operators, and online travel agencies.
• Skills & Attributes:
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are a bonus).
• Personal Interests:
- A passion for travel, with a willingness to conduct on-site inspections of hotel accommodations, coaches, and tour operations.
