Johnson Matthey are looking for an experience Management Accountant to join our Finance team at Skopje plant.
This role reports to the Senior Management Accountant and is part of the FP&A team responsible for delivering all aspects of plant management information, with specific responsibility for working capital, capex and cash flow management, variance analysis and budgeting and forecasting.
Key responsibilities
- Accountable for MOR submissions for all local cost centres (Plant & Non-Plant related).
- Wworking capital and net debt / cash including intercompany balances (royalties and services) and overdoes.
- Accountable for the delivery of the cost centres downloads for Non-Plant cost centres on WD1 to Sector Financial Analysts within the FP&A COE.
- Accountable for providing cost centre downloads on WD4 once all month end closing entries are complete to SG&A Manager.
- Accountable for reviewing all local Plant cost centres and identifying to the GL Accountants & Metal Accountants any accounting entries required to ensure that monthly costs are recorded accurately.
- Accountable for reviewing working capital levels with the GL Accountants & Metal Accountants and ensuring any accounting entries required are made to ensure that balance sheets are recorded accurately.
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure headcount numbers and costs are accurately reflected in the right cost centres and in future forecasts of costs.
- Work with the Accounting Services Manager to perform and control monthly analysis of obsolescence and other provisions related to the working capital accounts.
- Perform and control monthly analysis of stock losses (stock take, process loss and cost variances). Provide quick and accurate information to the management for any process loss, maintain system that gives on time information to management for decision making.
- Accountable for providing variations analysis, downloads and forecasts in real time and summarising these through the month end close and forecasting process.
- Act as the key liaison point for the Sector product costing and segment analyst teams in understanding short and long-term standard cost developments for the plant, and work with these teams to set standard costs for the plant for both new product introductions and for an annual re-setting of existing product standards.
- Work closely with Plant Treasury Lead to provide accurate weekly cashflow forecasting to Group Treasury function.
- Act as the key liaison point for Sector and group FP&A and Treasury teams in understanding short- and long-term liquidity and cash needs and managing intercompany funding arrangements.
- Working capital and cash management driving initiatives to improve working capital by analysing risks and opportunities, setting stretch target plans and monitoring plan execution.
Are you the ideal candidate?
- University degree qualification
- Professional accounting qualification
- Significant experience in financial cost management and analysis
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in field of financial reporting and accounting
- Knowledge of Microsoft office tools, proficiency level of Microsoft excel
- Knowledge of other data analytics tool
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide appropriate challenge and insight, often under time pressure
- High level of written, verbal and oral English language skills
