Job Title: Utility Technician

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Utility Designer/Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of our engineering projects.
Role:
As a Utility Technician, you'll work closely with our engineering and project management teams to design and develop utility systems for our projects. You should bring strong technical skills, a passion for sustainable solutions, and a track record of innovative design.
Responsibilities:
- Pole Design & Analysis
- Using computer-aided design software and tools to create pole layouts.
- Designing utility poles for power or telecom infrastructure, ensuring load capacity and stability.
- Conducting structural analysis of poles, considering external factors
- Determining pole placement and clearance based on industry standards and regulations.
- Assessing pole conditions and recommending upgrades or replacements.
- Creating detailed reports, work orders, and pole inspection logs.
- Collaborating with field technicians, engineers, and utility companies.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Associate’s degree or certification in Engineering Technology, Drafting, GIS, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in utility pole design, drafting, or engineering support (preferred but not always required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering (optional but beneficial).
- Previous experience in power distribution, telecommunications, or structural engineering.
