Human Resource and Quality control Manager – is responsible for directing, administrating and professional development function in the Glamping Resort continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability and taking care for quality for every aspect of tourist capacity.
This position will report to the General Manager and is responsible for developing creative training programs and materials for all team members in all aspects of resort working.
Essential Job Functions:
As a Human Resource and Quality control Manager you would be responsible for directing and administering the training and professional development function in the resort continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest services and financial profitability and also supporting all efforts to enliven our Company’s Mission, Guiding Principles and Legendary Quality Experiences.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following task top the highest standards:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all management company’s policies/service procedures/standards.
- To initiate and monitor efforts in order to achieve continual improvements in Quality Operations by:
- Analyzing current business processes and providing detailed recommendations for ongoing improvements
- Analyzing feedback from internal and external guests, identifying trends and root causes
- Analyzing trends from various department’s reports so as to highlight cross-functional challenges
- Supporting cross-functional activities to determine solutions to counter challenges
- Ensure that work is completed of the highest quality standard and within the timeframe and budget parameters.
- To coordinate and report on the progress of Objectives, Targets and Programs throughout the resort on a regular basis to General Manager
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Ensure high standards of personal appearance and grooming of staff.
- To be the management representative for external and internal parties in relation to Quality Operations and projects designated by the General Manager
- To conduct periodic Management Reviews in line with the determined requirements
- To assist Division/Department Heads to develop long and short range action plans and to assist in meeting set strategies / objectives.
- Effective in listening, understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers.
- Maintains good eye contact and listens effectively.
- Analyze all Guest Comments and report trends to the General Manager
- Analyze all results of Glamping Resort Problem Solving Technology projects and report trends to the General Manager
- Create and maintain a quality, neat, clean, professional work environment.
- To assist Division/Department Heads in developing and conducting quality training in conjunction with the Total Training Concept
- To assist the General Manager and resort members on any ad hoc assigned projects
- To assist General Manager in reviewing operational processes as and when deemed necessary.
- Initiate regular meetings with the General Manager to discuss, recommend and inform on business matters and review long and short range action plans
- Know government regulations pertaining to H.R. and recordkeeping.
- Foster a positive work environment conducive to professional and personal growth and development.
- To assist the General Manager in identifying training programs on business and process management that will further improve the capabilities of our colleagues
- Attend appropriate meetings.
- Act as a catalyst for change and continuously seek to raise the bar for the property as a preferred choice for associates and managers.
- Participate in strategic planning including staffing, training, and financial goals.
- Oversee performance management and ensure performance evaluations are conducted in a timely manner as well as goal setting and performance management as it relates to various success factors.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and track new hire orientation.
- Assist with recruiting and interviewing.
- Assist in conducting wage surveys, analyzing data, and making recommendations.
- Assist in coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions.
- Assist in administering associate benefits and open enrollment.
- Support the administration of human resources and benefits issues and ensures adherence to employment related laws.
- Coordinate employee events.
- Develop and implement strategies and practices which support employee engagement.
- Conduct new hire orientation and benefits enrollment training.
- Responsible for safety program of hotel and regular safety training for all employees.
- Follow proper key control procedure for issued keys.
- Remain aware of any and all potential security problems and report them to your Supervisor and/or Genaral Manager.
- Report any suspicious or unusual situations encountered while performing duties to General Manager.
- Follow emergency procedures, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), safety precautions and safest work habits.
- Carry out any reasonable request by Management and Management Company.
- Other duties as assigned.
- To coordinate improvement projects within the Hotel as deemed necessary by the General Manager.
Position Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Hospitality or a related field.
- Minimum 5 year working experience in Human Recourse Management or in guest service/hospitality industry
- English + serbian language
Work Environment and Context:
- Occasional travel required – staying on resort location during the summer season
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
- Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
- CPR training and first aid training preferred.
- Additional language ability preferred.
