To support our team located in Skopje, Macedonia we are currently looking for:
Packaging engineer (m/f)
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up, maintaining, and improving the entire process for current and new parts to include: inbound material, inbound packaging (containers & skids) packaging
- Drive change in the ergonomics and processes in the inbound flow, value stream, and service centers related to material handling
- Manage and improve handling process off all materials
- Support the new product development team to initiate correct packaging for suppliers before released to production
- Ensure all new materials and inbound materials meet safety, quality, and ergonomic guidelines for movement from start to the end user
- Conducts the necessary communications with all departments to originate and revise packaging records
- Assists in the development and implementation of all labeling and scanning. This is to include using existing and new technologies
- Evaluates product complaints related to package integrity and identifies corrective actions
- Works closely with operations, suppliers, consolidation centers and plants on process improvements
- Maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned project; assists in the scheduling of projects in a timely manner to meet the long term goals of the company
- Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages
- Provides status and progress reports to project team, and management as required
- Identify packaging improvement projects and work on executing those improvements following total cost approach
- Administrating customer portals in terms of ordering packaging, booking in and booking out properly based on reception and deliveries
Essential requirements:
- Experience in packaging development and implementation (3 years minimum)
- Knowledge of packaging standards applicable in automotive industry
- Knowledge of corrugated paper technology
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Processes including inventory management
- Technical University degree
- Fluent English (German will be an asset)
- Ability to travel frequently
