NETWORK SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
Responsibilities:
- Maintain existing IT infrastructure, log problems and troubleshoot systems and business applications to resolution or escalation
- Monitor infrastructure resources, create plan for IT optimizations and future requirements
- Responsible for special technical projects, IT roll-outs and infrastructure rebuilds
- Utilize knowledgebase, teammates and all other available resources to aid in incident resolution in order to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
- Perform post-resolution follow-ups
- Consistently meet and exceed established benchmarks in performance set forth by management for all Network /System Admins
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or three (3) years relevant experience in the Information Technology field
- Possess a proven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and provide solutions, CCNA/CCNP, MCSA/MCSE,RHCSA/RHCE certification desired
- Self-starter and able to effectively triage issues to determine if escalation is required
- Experience with configuration and management of layer 3-7 network systems – switches, application load balancers, firewalls including Cisco/Juniper/Mikrotik
- Background in virtualization technologies and enterprise server infrastructure
- Strong background in design, installation, configuration and problem analysis of Linux and Microsoft systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interact with team members, senior management and vendors
