German Sparkassenstiftung for international Cooperation (www.german-sparkassenstiftung.de) is the developmental aid branch of German Sparkassen Finance Group. On a global scale, more than 300 motivated staff are working in more than 50 countries - recently also in North Macedonia. For our project "Strengthening Financial Literacy in Albania and North Macedonia" we are looking for a Financial sector expert to help our team in Skopje.

Financial Sector Expert

Location: Skopje

Tasks and responsibilities:

The Financial sector expert is expected to provide support to the project, through:

Support to the Regional Director of German Sparkassenstiftung regarding the management and organisation of projects with partner financial institutions in North Macedonia.
Building and managing relationships with partner organisations and their key personnel.
Support project planning with DSIK partner financial institutions within the scope of the project.
Management and preparation of reports on relevant cooperation project activities.
Conduction of research and collection of relevant data on financial institutions and the financial sector in North Macedonia.
Support any other activity targeting useful interventions in the financial sector.
Provision of advisory / consulting to partner financial institutions in North Macedonia (banks, non-banking financial institutions, associations) within the scope of the project.
Monitoring and evaluation of short-term experts conducting project activities support trainings and capacity building.

Qualifications and skills:

Bachelor or Master in Economics, Business Administration or similar fields.
Proven track record in the financial sector of North Macedonia (banking, microfinance or similar)
experience in managing teams
experience in consulting
good interpersonal skills
Very good communication and organisational skills.
Very good command of MS Office products and web-meeting tools.
Very good command of English (written, oral).

The assignment is on honorary basis, for a limited period, ending 31.05.2022
