MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TRAINER
Reports to: TRAINING MANAGER
Location: SASA Mine
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for coordinating and conducting task training for mobile maintenance employees. Identify and develop training programs to meet company needs. Develop, monitor, and change Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet safety and production needs. Maintain safety/training records in a professional manner. Ensure compliance with company and MSHA rules and regulations. Identify and correct safety issues as they arise. Work sometimes requires the employee to modify methods, procedures or plan and re-establish new methods and procedures. There will be occasionally direct supervisory responsibilities and the employee will train new employees and assist personnel with the goal of a safe, productive and cost-effective work force that will protect the environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, review, maintain, and make corrections as needed to SOPs and training outlines at the direction of the management team with input from the affected parties to meet safety and company needs
- Writes material for new training programs and manuals and reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs and report sheets and recommends appropriate changes
- Maintenance up to date and accurate training records for the maintenance group. Records will include such items as forms, equipment task training sheets, both mobile, and stationary and all other records required for training maintenance personnel
- Conduct classroom and field training of new hires, including site orientation and operations of assigned tasks
- Conduct task observations to ensure employees have received and are performing his/her assigned task in a safe and efficient manner
- Coordinate all training activities related to maintenance
- Attend crew safety meetings to address safety and training issues
- Develop and maintain records, files and charts that track the progress of training. Review sign off with trainee and supervisor to ensure quality and consistency in training
- Write reports addressing safety/training activities
- Experience with computerized maintenance systems
- Master mechanic level troubleshooting ability
- Strong working knowledge of diesel, gasoline, electronic, hydraulic, and welding equipment
- Thorough understanding of the maintenance requirements and procedures for heavy mobile equipment is necessary
- Ability to function within the qualification outlined in the attached physical demands sheets
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the management team
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends to meet company needs
- Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- At least 10 years’ experience in hard rock trackless mining equipment
- Extensive knowledge of mine operations and mine equipment
- Proven training experience within the mining industry
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills. Must have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management and effectively communicate training information verbally and in writing
- Computer literate – good skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Good communication skills in English /Macedonian
