TITLE OF DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Senior Manager Global Center of Expertise
POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Supplier Development Engineer is a ‘best in class’ and high-competence position within the Center of Expertise in Global Sourcing. He or She is responsible for driving our supplier base meets all industry-specific requirements and is continuously developed. The role will actively monitoring whole supplier base performance and establish supplier development program toward top worse suppliers in systematic approach, actively solving problems, and building rapport in cross-functional collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring of suppliers’ performance in close collaboration with the commodity sourcing and supplier quality team to minimize worse performance’s supplier.
- Structured problem solving for continued quality and/or logistic issue within the global supply base in systematic way.
- Identification and realization of improvement potential for existing suppliers through the planning, conduction, and facilitation of on-site supplier workshops.
- Empowerment of suppliers to identify and consult to resolve internal (process) problems (e.g. trainings, workshops).
- Continuously monitoring and improvements of the supplier base and execution of measures to improve the performance of suppliers and increase profitability.
- Systematic guidance with new on boarding supplier in regards of industry requirement. (Welcome package)
- Developed / optimized supplier development tools.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Minimum qualification and knowledge that a candidate need to perform this job
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to comfortably and confidently present and influence all levels within the organization and to work with both technical and non-technical teams
- Results oriented person with a strong delivery focus who can work independently and collaboratively with global teams
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills (min 6 sigma green belt preferable).
- Qualified auditor certification (ISO)
- Passionate self-starter with the highest integrity and ethics
- Technical specialist in metal and non-metal technology
