Metrologist
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working as interface between product and tool design with creation of dimensional programs;
- Create measuring programs for CMM machine for all new projects related to customer requirements and consider process tool and parameters;
- Create measuring program for CMM raw materials based on drawing specification;
- Working with suppliers and customers to establish same measurement method and evaluation;
- Supporting the product and tool design team for creation of the CMM jigs;
- Making evaluation of the jig/gauges critical points and involvement in the release of in process tools;
- Supporting quality and process team in evaluation of measuring data and working on root cause and actions defining to improve the process and reduce scrap/waste;
- Good process knowledge to support analyses being able to understand how to connect any defects in the FG with the measurements made on the materials;
- Interfacing with product Research and Development team in order to check the dimensions and tolerances for a new project;
- Being interface with Research and Development and industrialization teams in the creation of any new measurement program and / or problem solving/update of current programs based on product changes;
- Lead the activities for implementation and improvement of the In-process integrated solutions for dimensional measurements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; In advantage at least 2 years’ experience in similar scope;
- Knowledge of CMM program languages, advantage knowledge usage of PC-DMIS;
- Knowledge of automotive tools will take as advantage: FMEA, SPC, MSA;
- Advantage: Problem solving tools: Pareto, Histograms, Ishikawa, 5W, 8D etc.;
- Fluent in English;
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO9001 & IATF16949;
- Good communication skills;
- Working under pressure and short deadlines;
- Able to work in a team, proposing solutions and considering different point of view.
