Purpose of the role
As a member of the Growth Engineering team, you’ll be responsible for bringing millions of new customers to our product ecosystem: Proton Mail, Proton Calendar, Proton Drive, and Proton VPN. You'll work closely with a small, dedicated team to build systems for acquisition, onboarding, activation, and engagement while creating great user experiences at scale. You’ll help design experiments to discover and validate customer hypotheses, and develop fast, reliable services to drive engagement and keep our existing customers happy. As we scale, you’ll have the opportunity to grow into a technical lead role, responsible for a team of engineers and the entire lifecycle of new projects.

Job requirements
- 5+ years experience in designing and building highly scalable front -end and back -end systems
- Solid knowledge of server-side technologies (e.g., PHP, Python, Golang, Node.Js)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- At least a few years of experience using JavaScript and working on concepts such as asynchronous programming, closures, and ES6
- Strong background in computer science (algorithms, data structure, software design, reliability, maintainability, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of browser APIs and optimizing front end performance
- Demonstrated technical leadership on previous projects as well as a desire to learn and grow into a leadership role
Bonus points for:
- Well versed in security and with a good understanding of application security best practices from a programming point of view
- Extensive Linux experience
- Knowledge of TypeScript
- A good understanding of security best practices from an application development standpoint.
- Experience working in a distributed team.
- Experience with or exposure to the DOM API.
- Experience with micro-frontend architecture.
