Remote Site Reliability / DevOps Engineer
Skills & Experience:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, monitor, and scale the infrastructure and tooling required to support our production services.
- Contribute to the team and build resilient infrastructure and tooling solutions to support Engineering
- Support business infrastructure to ensure service availability, including outside of business hours
- Cultivate interpersonal relationships through superior communication skills
- Use automation extensively to design, configure, manage, and monitor systems in support of our product development teams
- Provide timely assistance and remediation solutions during critical situations and production incidents to help resolve service problems
- Participate in incident management and driving root cause analysis (RCA) and risk management processes
- Participate in the migration of AWS to the Google Cloud Platform
You will help build Resilient Infrastructure and
- Reinforce the intended technical and cultural norms
- Help direct the effort of Engineer and Associate Engineer team members
- Recommend and collaborates on process and practice improvement
- Help the team in building resilient infrastructure and tooling solutions to support Engineering
- Support business infrastructure to ensure service availability, including outside of business hours
- Cultivate interpersonal relationships through superior communication skills
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience
- Expertise with cloud computing providers (GCP, AWS, etc.) especially GCP
- Expertise with Go and Python along with Bash or other scripting languages
- Proficient with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab-CI, etc.)
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Familiar with unit testing frameworks
- Experience monitoring availability and performance using tools like Grafana; familiarity with Prometheus and related tools is desirable
- Experience in all of the following, proficient in at least one:
- Supporting different database platforms, including relational and non-relational
- Containerization automation (build, deployment, etc.) - After Hours support especially in the eveing is required.
