Seeks a Physical Education (PE) teacher for the Secondary School
(2024-2025 school year)

KEY ATTRIBUTES

The Secondary School seeks a highly qualified and experienced educator with the ability to teach in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). The ideal candidate will have a strong affinity for the IB educational philosophy (interdisciplinary, inquiry-based approach), and will have had several years of relevant professional experience.

As a dynamic and motivated qualified PE teacher, you already have a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people. In this role, you will have every opportunity to live up to this ambition, responding to the needs of each individual as you help them flourish and thrive. You will plan and deliver engaging PE lessons, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement. We consider student well-being to be a necessary precondition of learning. Helping mentor students through the challenges of their adolescent journey is a key aspect of the role. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in working in teams and developing and implementing a strong mentorship approach to the needs of every student.

QUALIFICATIONS

It is expected that candidates for this position will be highly qualified educators. Candidates we would consider a good match include:

Education / Certification / Experience:

Experience with the IB MYP or similar international curricular frameworks
Bachelor's Degree in the field of physical education, with a teaching designation/certification
Master's Degree in the above mentioned field (recommended but not required)
Experience working in similar dynamic learning communities

Possesses enthusiasm and advocacy for student wellbeing
Displays excellent social skills which enable community-wide collaboration
Is highly organized, with a minimum of C1 level of English language proficiency
