About Us: Vertical Dynamix Inc. is a prominent utility engineering firm committed to delivering sustainable and innovative engineering solutions. We're currently seeking a Civil Engineer to help us fulfill our vision of implementing pioneering technologies and designs in the utility sector.
Role:
As a Utility Designer/Engineer, you'll work closely with our engineering and project management teams to design and develop utility systems for our projects. You should bring strong technical skills, a passion for sustainable solutions, and a track record of innovative design.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create utility system plans for various projects using CAD software.
- Coordinate with project engineers and managers to ensure designs align with project requirements and objectives.
- Prepare and modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs.
- Perform system analysis and calculations in accordance with project requirements and current regulations.
- Conduct field inspections and surveys to gather data for design and planning.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates and progress reports as necessary.
- Review utility infrastructure design and provide recommendations for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with various team members and stakeholders, ensuring utility designs meet all safety, quality, and performance standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Prior experience in utility design/engineering within the utility or engineering sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- In-depth knowledge of utility infrastructure and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A keen eye for detail and high levels of accuracy in design and planning work.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
