FINANCIAL ANALYST
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to provide accurate and data based information on company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity. You will prepare and analyze financial information to help companies make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.
requirements and Skills:
- Build financial models to drive decisions and forecast results
- Advanced Excel skills
- ○ Spreadsheet Formatting, Aggregation Functions, Charting & Data Visualization, Finance Formulas VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, Pivot Tables, VBA &
- Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
- Analytical thinker; ability to convert data into recommendations for stakeholder
- Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
- Operate with discipline - the forecast process is highly time sensitive and requires strong time management skills
- Hotel and Restaurant experience is preferred.
- 2 years experience analyzing financial data
- BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field
Responsibilities:
- Preparation, analysis, and variance reconciliation on operational expense budgets (analyses to include actual results to forecast, budgets and prior year results), taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
- Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
- Develop and generate reports on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis using various applications;
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
- Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to a senior financial analyst based on sound analysis
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
