Key Responsibilities:
- Assign and schedule delivery routes to drivers based on load capacity, route distance, and driver availability.
- Monitor deliveries in real-time to ensure on-time arrivals and handle any delays or disruptions (e.g., breakdowns or route changes).
- Communicate regularly with drivers to provide updates and instructions for a smooth operation.
- Collaborate with customers, addressing delivery-related inquiries or concerns.
- Work closely with our logistics team to plan efficient routes that cut transportation costs.
- Keep detailed, accurate records of dispatch activities and maintain essential documentation.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and maintain a safe environment for our drivers.
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience as a dispatcher or in a logistics/transportation role.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills with an ability to prioritize efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS tracking software is a plus.
- Solid understanding of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, sound decisions.
