Introduction
The recently awarded EU ACCELERATE (USAID funded) is recruiting for multiple positions. The team is looking for extremely well organized and self-directed individuals with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement, and strong operational focus. Below is a list of positions the project is currently recruiting for in Skopje, North Macedonia. More details on the position description and requirements can be found at the application link.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
The USAID Bureau for Europe and Eurasia (E&E), through its Technical Support Office, Economic Growth Division, is establishing the Advancing Commerce, Connectivity, and Exports Leading to Economic Readiness for Accession to the EU “ACCELERATE”. The purpose of this Activity is to mobilize enterprise-driven solutions that increase trade and investment in the Europe and Eurasia region, with a focus on enhancing economic readiness for accession to the European Union (EU).
The Activity aims to strengthen markets in the E&E region by developing new trade and investment relationships, particularly between the U.S. and the E&E region and achieve development outcomes across all sectors in line with USAID's Private Sector Engagement Policy. ACCELERATE will focus on four main objectives:
- Improved trade facilitation both within the E&E region and with the EU
- Increased access to finance by way of introducing regional alternative financial products and services
- Increased support to the public and private sectors to comply with EU requirements and standards
- Increased support to stakeholders to improve investment transparency so that investments have a greater development impact.
OPEN POSITIONS
Grants and Subcontracts Manager
- Position Summary: support the Partnerships Director in implementing Accelerate Grant Fund and EU GATE, managing grantees and subcontractors, tracking performance, providing capacity-building, capturing key learnings, and ensuring the communication of operational innovations in compliance with USAID and DAI requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA CPA or equivalent preferred.
- 7+ years of experience USAID programs required
MEL/CLA Manager
- Position Summary: assist the Sr. Learning & Strategic Communications Director in co-designing and implementing the project's MEL plan, data collection system, and overseeing project assessments to measure performance against goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in organizational, communications, social sciences, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience required, preferably on USAID projects, and with knowledge of USAID’s CLA approach.
Activity Manager
- Position Summary: responsible for managing one or two large multi-year buy-in activities with significant labor and/or field presence, with support from technical advisors and the EU ACCELERATE team
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree in a relevant subject area preferred
- 9+ years of project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience on a USAID funded project
IT Specialist
- Position Summary: responsible for managing and responding to all IT and database needs of the Hanoi and Field Offices, including system installations, maintenance, work closely with TAMIS administrator on TAMIS database trouble shooting and maintenance, MEL Database design and maintenance, and provide support and technical consultations to clients.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, IT certifications a plus
- 4+ years of experience required
HR Manager
- Position Summary: The Human Resources Manager will manage all of the day-to-day aspects of recruitment and human resources; lead the implementation of HR/admin policies and procedures ensuring compliance therewith.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 7+ years of experience including 2 years on USAID programs required
Accountant
- Position Summary: provide accounting and financial analysis support to the project office and will ensure submission of financial reports based on internal deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree required, an advanced degree or its equivalent is preferred.
- 6+ years of experience including 2 years on USAID programs required
Strategic Communications Manager
- Position Summary: support the project communications, reporting, and outreach, coordinating with stakeholders to implement the Strategic Communications Strategy, promote project impact, prepare required reports, and support events and campaigns, including those related to EU Accession.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 7+ years of experience drafting reports, documents and outreach materials, and developing and implementing communications plans
Administrative and Logistics Assistant
- Position Summary: play a pivotal role in coordinating the daily operations of the project, including administration, travel and office management.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 2+ years of progressively responsible administrative experience
