Sales Representative - Agent Accounts
 

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Sales Representative for Agent Accounts is responsible for driving business development, building and maintaining relationships with new and existing agent accounts, and achieving predefined revenue and KPI targets. The role also focuses on market research, reporting, and coordinating with various departments to ensure successful execution of business strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:

Business Development:

  • Plan and execute business development strategies to acquire and grow new and existing agent accounts.
  • Develop new market opportunities to expand the business and increase market share.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and upsell opportunities are identified.
  • Ensure the database is regularly updated to reflect the current status of accounts.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to assess market share, competitor activity, and identify trends in the industry.
  • Analyze sales volume and revenue data to provide actionable insights to management.

Sales Activities:

  • Meet the target of 100+ phone calls per week to engage with potential and existing clients.
  • Achieve predefined KPIs, including revenue growth and client acquisition targets.
  • Drive quartile percentage revenue growth (Q1-15%; Q2-20%; Q3-35%; Q4-30%).
  • Follow up on high-potential opportunities and escalate any issues to management to ensure seamless operations.

Reporting:

  • Provide a minimum of 20-25 feedback reports per week on client interactions, potential leads, and key developments.
  • Deliver weekly reports on market trends, business development, and any issues encountered in the field.
  • Track and report on key metrics related to market expansion and account performance.

Team Coordination & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the pricing department and other operational teams to ensure accurate pricing strategies and seamless coordination of business efforts.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet the targets set by the Manager and enhance overall sales performance.
  • Actively contribute as a team player to ensure shared goals are met across departments.

Professional Conduct:

  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Work independently while coordinating with colleagues to meet deadlines and maintain consistent communication.
  • Perform high-quality work with or without direct supervision, ensuring tasks are completed on time.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all tasks are completed in alignment with company goals and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dynamic Personality: Communicative and outgoing with a strong drive to achieve results.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record in sales and account management, with experience in B2B environments preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Positive Attitude: A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to work.
  • Negotiation & Presentation Skills: Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and presentation abilities.
  • Initiative & Enterprise: Ability to take initiative and think strategically to open up new business opportunities.
  • Interest in Sales: Passionate about sales, eager to learn, and motivated by success.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office and other business applications.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in written and verbal English (knowledge of other languages is an advantage).
  • Education: University degree preferred (Social Studies or related fields); relevant work or study experience in an international organization is a plus.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of SWOT analysis and strategic planning techniques.
