Vacancy: Senior Quality Engineer

Job purpose

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of critical Quality applications. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. This role involves hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Quality systems to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
You will provide day-to-day support to users, addressing questions, resolving issues, and implementing customizations. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of Quality applications, leveraging your technical expertise to improve system performance and functionality.
By combining your technical skills with a strong understanding of business processes, you will help drive operational efficiency and effectiveness within the organization. You will participate in projects for implementing new Quality systems as well as implementing new functionality within existing systems.
Principal accountabilities:
- Coordinate with business users and external vendors to manage and maintain all IT related systems
- Responsible for translating business requirements into functional specifications for the technology solution / application.
- Work with system end-user and SMEs from different functions to understand needs, challenges & objectives
- Facilitate the capability building of the new users on the system and retrain the users on the system periodically as per the system updates
Technical capability:
- Design and implement technical solutions. Drive configuration of the applications as per the business requirements in collaboration with JM team and vendors
- Oversee JM IT and supplier delivery teams during build to ensure functional and technical solutions are developed as per design and support development teams with queries as they occur
- Act as SMEs of their platform and processes, able to understand what capabilities a platform has to resolve user needs and impacts within a process when changes are proposed
- Undertake troubleshooting of application issues and resolve the issues; liaison with the software providers in case the issue could not be resolved internally
- Create detailed solution documentation in line with JM IT engineering and architectural methodology to document solutions for approval at review boards
- Improve process flow and user documentation for different related modules
- Ensure conformance to regulatory compliances and adherence to audit findings; undertake improvements as required
- Technical coaching and support to other engineers within the team
Tech Stack Skills:
- Experience of working with the following:
- Industry experience in laboratory processes and quality control (must have)
- Microsoft SharePoint (good to have)
- SQL Server and SQL Reporting Services (must have)
- Quality Informatics Systems LIMS (preferably Labware) or ELN ( preferably Dotmatics) (must have)
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL (must have)
