Born in Ohrid, she developed her love for numbers in the mathematics secondary school, and then completed her studies at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje. She says that while most people consider the construction professions for men, she does not share this opinion and that to do this job requires a lot of work, learning, effort and talent
Vesna Savinova is an architect at BREON for almost 6 years. Looking back at her beginnings in the company she says that it was not an easy challenge even though she already had experience in the field.
“First, you have to accept a different working philosophy, way of thinking and discipline, and then master certain criteria dictated by the Swiss market. We are working in the Allplan software program and the overall correspondence and work in the company is in German. Certainly, all the acquired knowledge in this period is an immense treasure for me” – says Vesna for the editorial staff of Vrabotuvanje.com
Since the company cooperates exclusively with clients from Switzerland, we asked on which projects the BREON team is currently working?
-In the last period, together with my colleagues I worked on modeling and reconstruction of an old object in the center of Zurich. Now we are starting a new object for multifamily housing near Luzern.
We wanted to know more about Vesna as an architect, so we asked what is the greatest pleasure in her profession and what makes her proud and motivates her to work diligently and focused?
-Every new project is a new challenge with many questions that have to be solved for a good result. Sometimes the answers come easily, sometimes harder. Often, we face time pressure, but in the end, the most important thing is the clients to be satisfied with our product-plan that we work on, to be perfectly useful on the construction site. The pleasure is even greater when you see the object we have worked on and that you have been a part of a team of excellent architects and civil engineers.
Vesna is part of BREON for nearly 6 years. This fact made us ask what is that which BREON offers that is different from the rest of the companies in the industry?
-BREON offers the possibility to work in a different environment, in accordance to the Swiss standards and requirements, to work with the newest technology and software, learn a different approach to the work and knowledge on the process of projecting and constructing. You get introduced to an exceptional professional communication among all parties involved in the work: architects, engineers, and constructers-engineers. Also, we had the chance to visit Switzerland and the objects we have worked on with the colleagues for a few times so far.
Except for the high passion for quality, BREON is also recognized by the Social Friday initiative that was born in this company and over the past few months gained more than 6.000 supporters worldwide. We wanted to hear how Social Friday affected BREON’s employees?
-Now after 2 big Social Friday events and few smaller previously, I can say that the internal satisfaction and pride is huge. The Social Friday initiative develops our feeling of social responsibility. With those activities we contribute to the society in a very positive way. We devote our time to think of others, to give, but also to receive a lot of positive energy from everyone around us, especially the children.
In the end, we asked Vesna what would she recommend to all other architects and civil engineers who want to become part of BREON?
-To try to become a part of one environment that challenges the thoughts in the engineer and architecture world, that further expands the view and teaches you to be more curious and patient with the work.
Vesna, we wish many new challenges and successful stories to you and to the whole team behind BREON, and we encourage all other architects and civil engineers, who are interested in a career in your company, to not hesitate and send their CV because we are convinced that BREON is an exceptionally modern and progressive company which ensures that its employees are realizing their talent potential while inspiring many others to improve their local community.
